Pazo De Villarei 2016 

Albariño (Rías Baixas)

This wine’s color looks like a ripe yellow plum. The nose is dramatically fragrant in notes of hay, white spring flowers, lush white peach, succulent yellow pear and delicate baking spices. Medium in body, with a hint of viscosity, this wine is full-throttle in likeability. While the mouthfeel is a bit sensuous, there’s perky, almost chiseled acidity at the ready to pull the palate back into line. Drink now–2018.
