Donatien Bahuaud 2010 Le Master Sur Lie
Melon (Muscadet Sèvre et Maine)
Brazenly electric gold in color, this wine has a dynamic nose of laurel leaf, verbena, heather, bruised golden apples and incense. It’s medium bodied with light viscosity. It’s dry from the attack to the finish thanks to some light phenolics. Still, there is a lovely mid-palate creaminess that softens this edge. This is a serious white wine that may already be entering its prime, but should be good with rich starters, meaty fish and aged cheese. Drink 2013–2015.
