Château Les Petits Arnauds 2010 Tradition
Merlot-Cabernet Sauvignon (Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux)
|
The deep core of this wine is surrounded by a bright, magenta rim. “Funk” is a fine deor for this wine that will appeal almost exclusively to Old-World-wine lovers. Pencil ss, flint, old leather, sloe and tart blackberry show on the nose and palate. No obvious oak notes surface. The tannins are strapping and the acidity is chiseled. This is a wine with a bad boy attitude, best tamed with lamb or beef. The finish is quick, suggesting it should be drunk younger, but it does need a bit more time to settle down. Drink 2014–2017.
