The flavors add in cherry syrup, watermelon Jolly Rancher and nougat. Even though the flavors are candied, the easy tannins and bright acidity give this decent drinkability. The clearly emerging tobacco and new leather notes suggest this wine is starting to peak, even if its refreshing structure and good complexity should allow it to hold for a while.
