Pronounced yellow in color, this wine has a pale, watery rim. The bouquet is restrained as are the bubbles. This is a good sparkling to drink in a wine glass. Honeysuckle, hay, marzipan and apricot come through on the palate. They are followed by a savory, saline note on the finish. Though the flavors are attractive, the palate feels quite flat, especially as the wine has only has medium acidity. It’s a good food wine, but it should be drunk now. Two bottles tasted. Drink now through 2015.
