Domaine de l'Odylée 2018 l'Audacieuse
Grenache Noir (Côtes du Rhône)
|
While restrained on the nose, this wine is charmingly red fruit-driven on the palate. However, as it warms in the glass, it turns a touch candied in notes reminiscent of cherry cough and cooked caramel. Still, there is a floral-driven freshness and good fruit purity that are inviting. This makes it a bit surprising that the palate is full- bodied and noticeably warm. The easygoing tannins and reserved acidity make this one to drink early on, despite the wine’s ambitious array of diverse fruit flavors. Drink now–2023.
