Groszer Wein 2016 

Blaufränkisch (Weinland Österreich)

This darkly colored wine is ambitiously ripe on the nose with surprisingly effusive notes of fresh roses, black cherries and cinnamon. There’s good extract on the medium-plus body, but the wine doesn’t feel weighty or over-done in any regard in its black currant-saturated palate with an almost chunky texture. Its fresh fruit notes and palate cleansing zestiness give it an almost perfectly aristocratic posture. The tannins are slightly sticky, providing the wine excellent grip. Drink now–2021.
