The palate is medium in body, with well-integrated acidity and lightly grainy tannins. This is an old-school style, with its oxidative winemaking character leather and tobacco leaf and dried fruit tones of tart cherries, lingonberries and bitter red plums. This is hovering at or just past its peak, and the overall sensation is dryness on the palate. Drink through 2015.
