This wine's nose smells of forest berry cobbler with ripe, lightly baked notes of blackberry and boysenberry liberally sprinkled with cinnamon and allspice. The full-bodied attack is broad, muscular and meaty, however there is good tension across the palate thanks to the crisp acidity. The chewy but nicely sculpted tannins let the acidity take the structural reins. Drinking nicely now, this wine's medium finish suggests that it should keep well for a few years. Drink now–2024.
