Red Blend (Gaillac)

Dynamic and fresh on the nose, this smells of freshly-picked black currants and blackberries scented by mint and chocolate. The attack is feisty in fresh fruit character as well as clipped and crunchy tannins. The palate flavors are slightly edgy with tinges of bitter herbs and damp soil. The acidity is slightly pungent, but it is the tannins that continue to dry out the palate well into the modest finish. Drink now–2024.
