Barbera (Barbera d'Asti)

Deep core with purple reflections and a fuschia rim. Exuberant fruit on the nose—blueberry and boysenberry—with the nuance of mocha and sweet spice. On the palate the wine is generous and soft, with melting tannins and moderate acidity. Clean and mineral, this wine is a nicely modern version of the style. The finish is quick, but that’s just fine. This should be enjoyed with gusto in its youth, now–2015.
