Finca Martha 2011 Gran
Malbec (Mendoza)
This wine has a purple-black body with a magenta meniscus. Forward, supple and youthful fruit greets the nose, while blackberry and loganberry mingle with sloe jam on the palate. No overt new oak is employed here it’s all about the fruit, save some undertones of dusty earth and charcoal. Though full bodied and generous with its 13.9% alcohol, the wine is well balanced by medium acidity and does not appear thick on the palate. Though it may benefit with age, there’s no point in waiting. Drink now—2015.
