Cabernet Sauvignon (Wrattonbully)

While pleasantly aromatic with aromas of mulberries, dried strawberries and cinnamon stick, this tastes a bit flat. The palate adds on evolved notes of wood polish and extremely ripe fruit drizzled with balsamic. Some good fruit juiciness initially entices the midpalate but the acidity is a touch too timid to be called refreshing. Still, the tannins are caressing and rounded and don't dry the palate on the moderate finish.
