This wine’s midnight black core fades to bright magenta at the rim. The nose is intense with notes of mulch, fertilizer and black currant accompanied by vanilla bean. The palate shows the same and adds a bit of chocolate. The mouthfeel is supple and the midpalate is plump. The acidity is medium and well integrated, offering just the right amount of support. The body is full, the alcohol is just noticeable and the finish is quick, but the overall package is very well knit. Drink now through 2016.
