A dark chocolate color at the core, this wine has a rusty red rim. It smells beautifully of old red wine, with its spice cabinet and dried red-fruit notes of pomegranate seed and red plum. The palate is beautifully resolved, with a succulent and generous roundness, lilting but integrated acidity and sweetly resolved tannins. Gulpable, especially for those who like older wine, and well priced. Drink now through 2018.
