This wine boasts a watery, pale appearance, with yellow flecks. It smells lemony fresh, with oodles of grapefruit zest. The perky petillance on the palate helps supports the medium body, as do the lightly tugging tannins. There’s a suspicion of some unusual residual sugar that needs the support of both. It’s pure and innocent, if not immediately identifiable as Rioja. Drink up and enjoy its forceful youthfulness.
