Impressively pale yellow in color, this bottling has a bright and fresh nose of straw, field flowers, peach peel and lemon pith. The wine’s creamy midpalate gives it nice breadth, which is reined in by unusual but pleasant tannins. This trait makes it much more of a food wine than a sipping white. There’s solid weight, layers of flavor and a surprisingly lengthy finish. Spritely and fun, this is a summer dinner party wine, best enjoyed through mid-2016.
