This wine has a near impenetrable purple color, with a powerful nose of briar patch fruits, candied sour cherries and tons of blueberry. It is round on the midpalate, with the faintest tinge of extraction, medium viscosity, moderating acidity and discreet, well-placed tannins. The lingering, savory finish deserves nuanced meat dishes without sauces. This is developed now, but has some time to spare enjoy through 2018.
