Super dark at the inky black core, this wine has a small magenta rim. It is bursting with fresh fruit on the nose, and dazzles with its depth of pure, fresh fruits on the palate. Blueberries, ripe mulberries and damson plums abound. There’s an underlying hint of lilac, too. The finish is suave and lingering, with influences of cocoa and spice. This drinks beautifully today, but it has the medium-plus finish to hang on and develop to some benefit through 2017.
