Sparkling yellow with a star-bright appearance, this bubbly has a nicely autolytic nose. Bread dough, grated hard spice, anise, marshmallow and nougat create enticing complexity. The nicely round palate has pronounced acidic lift and lots of cleansing bubbles. The fruit flavors include mandarin orange, pomelo, cantaloupe and strawberry. Though this wine has curb appeal, its long finish can’t be ignored. This is a serious and sensational wine. Drink now through 2017.
