Fresh and direct, with a canned green bean and fern effusiveness, this wine definitely resembles Sauvignon Blanc. It’s laden with minerality, along the lines of wet riverbed, slate and flint. Ripe flavors of guava, kumquat pulp and passion fruit appear on the palate. Zingy acidity, light body and modest alcohol, with a whisper of sweetness on the attack, make this a gulper any time, but especially in sweltering weather. Drink now through 2015.
