This wine’s rust-influenced, blackish color and slightly murky appearance are promising to the lover of aged wines. The nose is reticent but offers singed meat and campfire aromas along with fallen leaves. The palate feels resolved, creamy and integrated the alcohol is definitively warm. On the finish, the brisk tannin cuts through the baby fat, with lingering savory notes. Drink now through 2016.
