This wine’s black core seems as reticent to give up its developing touches of brick as its nose is to offer its more-developed bouquet. Tar, licorice, blackberry and black-plum skin form the core of this wine’s aromas. The palate brings on the double whammy of baking and savory spice, both of which linger on the palate. Blackberries, loganberries and sloe take center stage from a fruit perspective.
