This wine’s concentrated crimson color turns black in the center of the glass. Its nose is open and jammy, with lots of mulberry, blueberry, cinnamon, licorice and flan aromas. The palate is equally compelling to those who appreciate a good dollop of oak and sweet fruit. Structurally, the tannins start supple but finish lightly drying and grainy. Despite the generosity of the sweet fruit and spices, this concentrated, mouth-drying wine works best with food. Drink now through 2017.
