Inky black at the core with a bright, boysenberry-colored rim, this bottling is driven by its pure, concentrated fresh fruit. The nose also offers nougat and caramel along with generously ripe and pristine black fruits like black currant and blackberry. Though full in body, this wine has the structural precision of lifted acidity and finessed tannins to make it feel less weighty. The palate adds flavors of used tea leaves, toasted oatmeal and Brazil nut, which carry well into the fairly long finish. Drink now through 2018.
