Undeniably black at the core, the small rim shows some morello cherry-colored relief. The nose is an exotic tangle of ripe red and black fruits, fresh roses and flint. Highly ripe and full bodied, the wine’s high alcohol is nonetheless well integrated. Finessed tannins, seamlessly integrated acidity and smart oak management make this a well-rounded and harmonious wine sure to appeal to a broad band of consumers. Drink now through 2018.
