The deep-yellow color at the core extends to pale straw then water white as the liquid nears the meniscus. White pepper, lobster stock, savory spice, aloe and quinine make up the unusual yet appealing mix of aromas and flavors. Rather sophisticated bubbles caress the palate. Medium in body with moderate acidity, the wine works with or without food. The finish fades fairly quickly, but it is a lovely mouthful while it lasts. Enjoy now through 2016.
