Stunningly opaque with its black core, this wine seems stubbornly closed. It reluctantly offers aromas of ink, canned green beans and black currant leaf. The palate is very linear, with good acidic tension accompanied by smooth tannins. Rather simple on the palate, it nonetheless conveys a nice juiciness. Since this wine focuses on its fresh fruit, don’t delay opening the bottle. Drink now through 2015.
