Dark purple with fuchsia inflections, this wine looks and smells youthful. Its nose overflows with berries: mulberries, blueberries and boysenberries. It also gives off sweet spice, a hint of game and anise top notes. The palate shows modest complexity and average concentration. Moderately tugging tannins seem to cut the finish short, but the bright acidity keeps the palate refreshed for another sip. Drink now through mid-2016.
