Deep lemon in color with bright reflections, this wine has vanilla and cheese curd on the nose, evidencing new oak. On the palate, verbena, steeped tea, baked golden apple and pineapple take center stage along with the oaky flavors. The wine is medium bodied with judicious acidity and a quick finish. The oak and fruit are disjointed, making this wine a bit awkward. Drink 2013–late 2014.
