This wine is straw colored with loads of itty-bitty bubbles. Evidently sweet on the attack, its nonetheless balanced and more focused on the savory than the fruity or sweet. Its perky bubbles dissipate quickly in the glass. Red pear, quince, nougat and Brazil nut work into the flavor profile. Medium bodied, this wine is brisk and focused with good purity and plenty of flair. It’s unusual to see Crémant de Bordeaux, and this wine would make the case we should have more in the US market.
