The intense mulberry core shows a medium sized ruby rim. The nose dances between the primary and tertiary camps, offering tobacco leaf, mocha and mulberry. The palate is creamy and voluptuous, with modest acidity and easy tannins, which help explain the highly ripe fig and quince-paste flavors. This is sure to please many palates, though the wine is rather atypical in its softness. The short finish suggests drinking between now and early 2015.
