This is a muscular Shiraz with pleasing background notes of spice. The wine begins with blackberry puree, tar, black cherry and cigar box on the nose along with coarse black pepper, dried marjoram and a butter-knife’s spreading of black raspberry jam. The palate is filled with dense black fruit layered atop velvety tannins that provide balance and lend structure.
