On the nose, sandalwood, stewed cassis, tobacco and tobacco leaf are pronounced. On the palate, those elements prevail, but additionally cola and tomato leaf emerge. The fine tannins provide a lift in the finish, but this wine needs time to develop. Shelve for an additional five years and pair with a dry-aged ribeye steak.
