This wine’s appearance looks quite classic for a young Nebbiolo. It is medium-deep crimson color with a light bricking throughout the glass. The nose peels back layers of nuance: exotic spice, old leather and drying tobacco leaves along with fruity notes of cranberry and tart cherry. As to be expected, the tannins are striking and the acidity is invigorating. This wine is already entering that lovely, contrasting point between youth and maturity. As it is only two years old, that might be early, but its development is becoming.
