This bottling shows a rich color for Nebbiolo, despite its youth. The perfume is entrancing, leading with musk, game and exotic spice. The fruits are dark and brooding—blackberry and ripe blueberry. The textured palate and bustling acidity frame the full body. No new oak makes its presence clear. The finish lingers and is nicely layered for such a youthful wine. Surprisingly for Nebbiolo, there is a juiciness and easiness about this wine, so it’s sure to be a people pleaser.
