This wine is deeply fruity and impressively ripe, with fig, prune and date notes alongside accents of roses, tar and spices. The flavors are very characteristically Nebbiolo and Barolo. There’s a lovely freshness here despite the exuberant ripeness and highly concentrated palate. The tannins are fine-grained and sophisticated and the acidity is high yet subtly integrated. The finish lingers. This is a very fine wine to drink from 2015–2024.
