Cherry, truffles and rose petals are prominent on the nose and palate, but the story of this wine lies in the tannins, delivering extreme tension every time one experiences them on the palate. While the tannins could use some breath, the cherry fruit is moving towards desiccation on the palate—almost as if the fruit has an age of 10 years and the tannins have an age of two. Decant an hour before drinking. Cellar for another eight to 10 years.
