Opaque and black at the core with a bright raspberry-colored rim. Wood-fired grill, clove, gingerbread, morrello cherry and açai explode on the nose. Given this very generous nose, the palate is surprisingly well structured with marked acidity and fine and faintly drying tannins. Cedar notes, cassis and pencil lead join the mix of complexity on the palate. The finish is a bit short considering the exciting mix of aromas. Drink now to 2015, although this may hold well a few years more.
