An opaque wine with a black core and brick-tinged ruby rim. The nose is reticent, mostly showing mineral and earth notes. Savory in minerality yet ripe in fruit, the palate shows black currant, black plum, garrigue and cinammon stick notes. The tannins are firm but not dry, and the acidity is vibrant. The finish is medium minus in length and showing advanced notes, suggesting the wine should drink now to mid-2015. Its fruit freshness seems to be at its peak.
