Showing clear brick tones on the meniscus, this wine also offers some savory, bottle-age aromas on the inviting nose. Barbecue spices, roasted black plums, dried evergreen fronds and old leather create a heady collection of aromatics. The palate is nicely weighty and well balanced by smooth if vaguely grippy tannins and supporting but discreet acidity.
