This is a vibrantly aromatic, deeply colored red that smells of spiced plums, campfire embers, melted milk chocolate and violets. The attack is supple and ample, but the palate is swiftly structured by fine, tingly tannins and fresh acidity. The finish is moderate but some earthy, minerally tones come through to layer on some extra flavor. Drinking well now, this is well-suited to a wine by the glass program.
