Ripe in an ample and upfront black currant aroma, this is vigorous, supple and robust. A bit of a switch-hitter after its almost jam-like fruit presence on the nose, it turns savory on the palate with crunchy peppercorn, minty spice and dried tea. While bold in body, the wine is well-encased by nicely structuring acidity and moderately drying tannins. Quick to finish, this is best enjoyed early to appreciate its exuberant, almost wild fruit character. Drink now–2025.
