While shy on the nose with little more than vague black fruit tones, this wine is verbose on the flavor spectrum. Flavors of black cherry preserves, black currants and licorice wash across the palate. There is an evident, alcoholic fieriness that immediately pops on the palate. The tannins are lightly stringy yet feel almost reserved in the presence of the vividly tangy acidity. Crushed stone and graphite minerality slip into the solid, medium finish. Drink 2023–2025.
