Incredibly elegant and floral on the nose, this wine starts with promise. Alas, its red-fruited palate is only mildly concentrated and feels very disjointed. It is sluggish between its cloying glycerol and somewhat spikey acidity. The tannins are fairly smooth, which helps to compensate for the rough edges elsewhere. The moderate finish layers on tertiary flavors so drink now–2023.
