Exuberant on the nose in fleshy black plum fruit and extravagant spice drawer aromas, this is a firm, structured and boldly flavored wine. Deeply intense in vividly ripe fruit flavors, touches of prune and crushed flint notes, this is a wine that would benefit from the counterbalance of food. Nonetheless, the tannins are creamy and the acidity is nicely balanced. This would pair nicely with an eggplant or lamb ragu. Drink now–2025.
