Smelling of fresh baguette, sliced apple and cultured butter, this is a treat to nose. The palate echos the nose, all smartly poised on a lean, moderate body, with grippy, back palate acidity nicely juxtaposing the creamy oatmeal-textured midpalate. There are clear mushroom and earth notes that show positive bottle age. The lingering finish and layered flavors suggest that this has the legs to go a few more years. Drink now–2025.
