Lightly feral on the nose, this wine smells of black currants and black plums tinged with violets. As the wine opens, blueberry compote notes come through, too. The concentrated palate is firm and slightly taut in vigorous tannins and fine, chiseled acidity. Asphalt and flint notes lace the fairly swift finish, while this delivers a nice hit of structural exuberance. Drink now–2025.
