An inky core is laced with a morello cherry hue. The nose is reticent, showing only glimpses of blackberry jam. Licorice, tobacco, asphalt and fresh fig all make appearances on the palate. This full-bodied wine is well framed by juicy acidity and broad, dusty tannins. The high alcohol is perfectly integrated while the finish is long and varied in nuances. Decant this wine at least one hour prior to enjoying for best effect. Drink now—2020.
