Popping with cracked black peppercorn and lifted, minty notes, this wine is rambunctious with fresh fruit on the palate. Still, it shows a resolved, elegant tannin structure that speaks to time in bottle or barrel. Full throttle in spice and hedonistically ripe in fruit, this nonetheless has vivacious, lifting acidity to neatly frame the wine and to keep the palate refreshed. There is an iron-like undertone that delivers additional depth and flavor to the wine. Drink now–2025.
